Stone Artifacts, Fossils, and Vintage Americana Ephemera. This diverse collection includes a wide range of prehistoric lithic artifacts, natural history specimens, and early 20th-century American ephemera. The group features multiple knapped stone projectile points in various forms, including side-notched, corner-notched, stemmed, and triangular styles. These points are crafted from a variety of materials including chert, flint, and jasper in shades of gray, tan, reddish-brown, and black, exhibiting evidence of percussion and pressure flaking. The assemblage also contains several ground stone tools, most notably a large, flat, circular discoidal stone, alongside multiple smooth, river-worn hand stones or manos and various hammerstones showing characteristic pecked use-wear. natural history specimens are present: a wedge-shaped fragment of fossilized shell exhibiting iridescent nacre and a tan-colored fossilized plant fragment with a distinct lattice surface pattern. The collection is completed by vintage items: a small red and cream cardboard box printed with Mohawk's Pioneer Cough Remedy and a hand-carved wooden neckerchief slide.
