This lot consists of two mechanical gumball machines produced by the Carousel Division of the Ford Gum & Machine Co., Inc. The set includes a large model and a smaller Junior model. Both units feature high-gloss red-painted cast metal bases and lids paired with clear glass globes. The coin-operated mechanisms are constructed of die-cast metal. The larger machine is designed with a threaded metal base for mounting to a floor stand. The smaller machine, identified by a sticker on the rear base, is the No. 14 Junior model manufactured in Akron, New York. Markings on the underside include China embossed on the metal base of the larger unit and a grey plastic cover on the smaller unit featuring the Carousel logo and China designation. Both machines operate via a manual crank mechanism designed to dispense gumballs or small candies.<br><br>Large Machine Height: 15 inches<br>Small Machine Height: 11.5 inches.
