Porcelain Pea Pod Trinket Boxes. A group of hand-painted porcelain trinket boxes by Rochard, Limoges, France, modeled in the form of pea pods. The collection consists of one large dark green pod and two smaller pods in varying shades of green, accompanied by loose porcelain peas. The large pod features a hinged gilt-metal rim with a bee-form clasp; the light green interior contains molded peas and bears the marks ROCHARD, Limoges Original, and Peint main Limoges France. The two smaller pods are each inscribed with the phrase two peas in a pod in black script and feature central hinged metal bands. These smaller pods are accompanied by four individual green porcelain peas. Each piece exhibits hand-painted details and decorative metal hardware typical of French porcelain boxes.<br>Largest pod measures approximately 4 inches in length. Burns in-house shipping is available. Pickup is Friday, June 26 from 10 am to 5 pm at our gallery in Lancaster, Ohio 43130 or we will provide in-house shipping for this item.
