This group of lithic artifacts comprises several stone tools characteristic of domestic and food-processing activities, likely originating from the Eastern Woodlands or Great Lakes regions. The collection includes cylindrical pestles fashioned from coarse-grained grey hardstone with rounded, tapered ends. An of these larger pestles features a hand-applied ink inventory mark with the number 159. The assemblage also contains bell-shaped pestles of varying sizes and materials, including a dark grey igneous stone and buff-colored sedimentary or metamorphic stones. A large, irregular slab of tan stone with a deeply pecked circular central depression functions as a mortar or nutting stone. Completing the group is a small, rounded spheroid stone with a shallow indentation on a face, typical of a hammerstone or anvil.
