The ammunition was manufactured in December 1938 by Rottweil, as indicated by the headstamp markings. Each cartridge is marked '19 38 VIII' and features the Rottweil manufacturer's logo with the German eagle. The boxes are in their original cardboard packaging and include en-bloc clips, typical for the Mauser service rifles used by the German military pre-World War II.
