The walnut tone frame is the most decorative of the wood pieces, a square frame with mitered corner panels and a raised oval bead surrounding an oval opening, the kind of frame used for a formal oval portrait. The gold tone rope edge frame is a standard 5 by 7 tabletop frame with a maroon velvet-covered easel back. The gold tone hinged triple frame stands in a zigzag on a table with three matched vertical openings, good for a family or graduation grouping. The sixth is a local souvenir piece: a brushed silver finish frame printed with black stars and swirls, a raised die-cut star at the upper corner, and lettering across the insert reading Celestial Nights - Blanchard High Prom 2002. Most of the frames are empty and still carry their original corrugated or brown backer boards, so bidders are buying frames and not photographs.
