50 + Vintage 78 RPM Records

Unique selection of around 50+ 78 PRM Records (often called “78s”), perfect from any antique and vintage music or recording collector. 78s were the primarily recorded music format from roughly 1898 to the late 1950s. As the more modern 12in. LP (33 1/3 PRM) and the 7in. single (45RPM) were introduced in the late 1940’s, 78’s began to phase out even though it would still take a decade to essentially do so. 78’s are unlike modern vinyl and made of a shellac resin, making the record’s material brittle with the possibility of shattering if dropped. With that observed, many 78’s have been lost to time which points to this selected lot being unique with its assortment of records holding quality for its age.
