2012 Elgin Whirlwind Street Sweeper mounted on a 2012 International Durastar 4300 chassis . This powerful unit is driven by a John Deere auxiliary motor , paired with an International MaxxForce DT engine and an Allison transmission . It has been thoroughly inspected and is certified through April 2027 . The truck runs and drives well, and the sweeper is fully usable with only minor issues to note: the right-side broom intermittently sticks in the stowed position due to a bushing that needs replacement; the high-pressure washdown hose is currently non-operational despite a new pump installation that will not prime; additionally, the left-side brushes are not included .
