THREE-PIECE LOT - TWO SMALL HAND-PAINTED WOOD LIDDED BOXES AND A FRAMED KATHY SEEK FOLK ART FRUIT PRINT
Three small decorative pieces sold together. First, an upright oak trinket box with a lift-off lid, the front set with an oval hand-painted porcelain plaque of a red-roofed cottage beside a pond and a large leafy tree, framed by an applied gold-tone filigree loop surround; the plaque carries a small painted artist signature at the lower left that could not be read even after enhancement. Second, a matching-size upright wood lidded box, the front hand-painted in oils with a still life of a white pitcher with an apple and a plum, signed at the lower right in a manner reading "NETA Orr", over an orange-gold wash background with the wood grain showing through. Third, a small framed print of a folk-art fruit basket, oak-tone molded frame with a beaded outer edge, gray-green suede-look mat, the back paper label reading "Folk Art Fruit / Artist- Kathy Seek / 'Tasty Harvest'" and "Heartfelt, Inc. 1997 / P.O. Box 21305 / Roanoke, VA 24018" with a barcode and a ghosted "Heartfelt Collection" imprint. The painted box shows heavy grain-raised surface lines through the paint, edge wear and paint loss at the corners; the oak box shows a rough saw-cut lid seam, grain lifting and darkened wear along the lid line; the framed print has a dusty scuffed glass, soiling and specks on the mat, rubs to the frame edges, and a cardboard easel back only, with no hanging hardware. Sold as a lot of 3 pieces.
