This lot has the strongest catalog titles of any disc group in the sale, with a run of 1980s classics, several anniversary and special editions, three sports films, and a pair of holiday staples that sell year after year. Discs were not individually inspected or play-tested and are sold on the cover art as pictured. Sold as a lot of thirteen cases. The Outsiders, The Breakfast Club, A Christmas Story, and The Goonies are all 1980s releases that have held long-running cult and collector followings, with A Christmas Story a fixture of holiday television. Eight Men Out dramatizes the 1919 Black Sox scandal, 8 Seconds tells the story of bull rider Lane Frost, and Friday Night Lights follows a Texas high school football season, which gives the sports side of the lot regional appeal in Oklahoma. Cases show light to moderate shelf wear including surface scuffing, edge rubbing, and fine scratching on the printed cover inserts. The 8 Seconds and Napoleon Dynamite covers show the most visible surface scuffing and light creasing. Light scratching and rub marks are present along the spines and top edges throughout the stack. Discs have not been removed, examined for scratches, or play-tested, and no guarantee is made that every case contains its correct disc or its complete disc count. No case is broken or missing a spine in the photographs. Photos are part of the description. Notes for bidders Store discs upright and away from heat and direct sunlight. Clean the play side only with a soft dry cloth wiped from the center hub straight out to the edge rather than in a circle, and avoid solvents. Note that Friday Night Lights and Talladega Nights are full-screen presentations rather than widescreen.
