This Springfield Armory U.S. Rifle M1A is a semi-automatic rifle chambered in .308 caliber and configured for precision target shooting. The rifle features a 22-inch National Match stainless steel barrel fitted with a standard M14-style flash suppressor and bayonet lug. The major metal components, including the receiver and bolt, exhibit a matte black Parkerized-style finish. The firearm is mounted in a smooth walnut stock with a brown synthetic ribbed handguard and includes a tan leather target-style sling attached to the standard swivels.
