This Colt Single Action Army is a commemorative edition chambered in .45 Colt, produced in 1963 to celebrate the West Virginia Centennial. The firearm features a 5.5 inch barrel with a fixed blade front sight and a notched rear sight. The metal is finished in a deep high-polish blue on the barrel, cylinder, and frame, accented by gold plating on the hammer, trigger guard, and backstrap. It is fitted with smooth, cream-colored faux-pearl grips that house gold-toned Colt medallions. Key markings include the gold-filled inscription 1863 WEST VIRGINIA CENTENNIAL MODEL 1963 on the left side of the barrel, and COLT SINGLE ACTION ARMY .45 on the right side.
