Large sepia-tone print/poster showing the historic Thieme & Wagner Brewery of La Fayette, Indiana, with text reading "Where Ye Tavern Brew The Beer De Luxe is made. Approx. 24" wide x 16" tall as shown in measurement photos. Thieme & Wagner was one of Lafayettes important early breweries, founded in 1863 by German immigrants Frederick August Thieme and John Wagner at 4th and Union Streets. The brewery became a major regional producer before Prohibition, later operating under Lafayette Brewery Inc. and producing Ye Tavern Brew. The historic brewery complex was eventually demolished in 1963 for the Harrison Bridge project, making this a great Lafayette brewing-history display piece and a nice companion to Lafayette Brewing Company memorabilia.
