A Swedish Model 1896 knife bayonet, designed for use with the Swedish Mauser m/1896, m/1938, and Ag m/42 rifles. This all-steel construction bayonet features a hollow steel grip with a knurled cross-hatch pattern and a distinctive conical locking button at the pommel. The steel blade includes a central fuller and a double-edged spear point. The accompanying scabbard is made of blued steel with a ball-tipped finial. The assembly includes a brown leather frog with a buckle-fastened retaining strap. Markings include: Ricasso: A factory inspection stamp consisting of a crown above the letter C, signifying production at Carl Gustafs Stads Gevärsfaktori.
