Inch Barrel. This Japanese-manufactured muzzleloading percussion rifle is designed in the traditional American long rifle style and chambered in .45 caliber. It features a 33.5-inch octagonal barrel with a dark finish and fixed sights. The percussion lock plate is adorned with decorative scroll engraving. The firearm is fitted with a two-piece wood stock secured by a brass barrel band and features brass furniture including a crescent-shaped buttplate, a decorative patch box on the right side of the buttstock, a trigger guard, and a nose cap. A wooden ramrod is stored in brass pipes along the underside of the forestock. Prominent markings on the upper left barrel flat include .45 CAL. and BLACK POWDER ONLY.
