Lot of Civil War Leather Accoutrements to include 1) CIVIL WAR FEDERAL CARTRIDGE BOX WITH TINS. CIVIL WAR US M1855 CARTRIDGE BOX WITH US PLATE. Civil War federal Model 1855 Cartridge Box. Tins are still present. Has original brass "US" on the flap. Piece exhibits age and wear. 2) CIVIL WAR CAP BOX. Civil War Cap Leather Cap Box.introduced in the 1840s, the pouch for carrying percussion caps which ignited the musket cartridges was invariably carried on the right front of the waist belt. The box has full form and original nipple pick included.
