Charming assembled group of six antique ceramic sheep-themed figures, including Staffordshire spill vases and a French Samson porcelain example. The collection features a variety of forms, including ewe and lamb groupings, bocage spill vases, and recumbent sheep models, all rendered in hand-painted detail.
Included are mid-19th century Staffordshire pottery spill vases with sheep and lambs, showcasing the characteristic "frit" or "confetti" textured fleece decoration, along with a pearlware figure attributed to the Ralph Salt manufactory, circa 1820, depicting a ewe and lamb set against a floral bocage. Also included is a 19th-century French Chelsea-style porcelain recumbent sheep figurine produced by the Edmé Samson factory, Paris, circa 1880-1900.
