The cabinet features a cast metal frame with twin doors decorated with ornate openwork panels depicting putti and floral swags, set against a red fabric backing. The cabinet is surmounted by a semi-circular slab of light green and cream onyx with brown veining. The matching side chair features slender, twisted metal uprights and an ornate cresting depicting a central fleur-de-lis flanked by crowned dragons. The chair back panel and seat are upholstered in red velvet, with the seat finished in a long gold-colored tassel fringe.
