Drip and Tourmaline, Bowl and Vase. A pair of American art pottery vessels. The first is a Hull Art Pottery earthenware bowl with an incurved rim, decorated in a two-tone high-gloss glaze featuring a deep black body and a white foam drip effect at the shoulder. The base is embossed with the factory mark Hull U.S.A. 523-S. The second is a double-handled earthenware vase with a bulbous body and flaring neck, finished in a mottled turquoise and aqua matte glaze. This piece is attributed to Roseville Pottery in the Tourmaline or Carnelian II pattern. The vase is unmarked on the base, featuring only a handwritten red inventory number L151.
